Our Insurance Claim Process
Public Adjusting -
â– Review the insurance policy to determine coverage
â– Document damages via 3D Matterport, Drone, Moisture mapping, etc…
â– If necessary, we will have state licensed experts test and verify any damage done to A/C, Electrical, Plumbing, etc... and provide documentation of their findings.
â– Our estimating team will use the measurements and expert findings to create a line item Xactimate estimate (this is the preferred estimate for insurance carriers)
â– Submit all documentation to the insurance carrier and begin negotiations.
John McAndrew
After serving in the United States Navy, John spent several months in Dallas, Texas working with a construction company that focused on assisting storm-damaged properties. These skills and knowledge transferred well when he and his wife moved to Mandeville, Louisiana in late July 2021. Unfortunately, Hurricane Ida would hit nearly a month later.
John spent several months working with local construction companies and those affected by Hurricane Ida. During this time, he conducted over 7 million square feet of commercial property damage assessments and assisted over 25 property owners in the insurance claims process while working with a public adjuster. He helped recover over $1.3 million in roofs, $525k in water mitigation, and $1.7 million in interior damages. After seeing the devastation firsthand in Louisiana and hearing nearly every property owner express hopelessness because of denials, underpayments, or inability to fight the carrier, John decided to switch to Public Adjusting.
John utilizes the construction experts, engineers, estimators, and state-licensed contractors he met during this time to compile an irrefutable insurance claim package and streamline the process.
